Lego Boxes and Bins Make Great Storage For Bulk Lego
In our home, while we seemed to have an awful lot of Lego, it was really not what could be called an exorbitant amount of Lego, but with four kids I suppose we did end up with a little more Lego around the house than the average family.
Prior to inventing the BOX4BLOX we used to use a Lego box I bought at a Tupperware party, which was really a large fishing box with a lot of small compartments. The problem was of course that it took an age to actually sort all the pieces into the individual compartments and of course, when the kids used their lego it invariably ended up tipped all over the floor and the Lego only got properly organized when I spent the time to do it myself.
That being said, I did find one of those large storage boxes with wheels and a handle on one end great for storing the kids' Lego Duplo blocks, as with these large blocks, the kids could easily find the blocks they were looking for without tipping them all over the floor.
I do notice now that the LEGO company have large Lego boxes with lids that are shaped like Lego bricks that would be perfect for storing Duplo blocks, or any toys for that matter, but I have to admit the wheels were really handy.
However, as mentioned in other pages and posts on this website, there are some Lego fans and enthusiasts that have huge Lego collections, in the many thousands and in extreme cases, many 100's of thousands of Lego pieces,
In order to keep these large collections organized, these Lego fans have some very elaborate Lego storage systems, with it not being uncommon for entire rooms dedicated to storing their Lego collection, and they really do have to keep their collections organized by storing them in larger Lego storage boxes and bins.
As you can see by the image below it is not uncommon for these fans to see Lego bins or boxes dedicated just for one type of bricks or even one type of brick of one particular color.
Lego Storage Bins Make Great Lego Storage For Adult Fans of Lego ( AFOL) and Lego Enthusiasts
If you are a keen Lego enthusiast with thousands of Lego pieces a great way to organize your Lego collection is to use those plastic storage bins you see in hardware stores that fit on to rails.
These are a great Lego storage option when you have thousands of Lego parts, as they can be easily removed from the rails and, if set at the right height, you can see what is in the trays, so pieces can be quickly put away.
